Nezar Al Saie
Chairman
Nezar Al Saie has over 25 years of international investment banking
experience in both the Gulf and Europe, and spent 13 years as a Member of the
Management Committee of Investcorp, the international private equity firm. He
started his banking career in 1980 with Chase Manhattan in Bahrain, and later
with Chase London .
Nezar Al Saie occupies several non-executive
positions in the region, including Chairman of Kalaam Telecom
Holding, Vice Chairman of the Family Office, an investment advisory
fund management firm, board membership of the Bahrain Housing Bank,
board member of Bahrain National Holding, the largest general and
life insurance company in Bahrain. He is also the Senior Advisor for
the Middle East to the International Investment Bank, Lazard.
Nezar Al Saie holds a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from the University
of Texas, Austin and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the
London Business School (LBS).

Faisal Al Shoaibi
Director
Faisal is an Al Shoaibi Group Director and is responsible for the
group’s manufacturing operations and international
investments. He has worked in corporate finance and asset management
at Saudi International Bank in London from 1991 to 1997 and holds a BS
Economics from Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania

Walid Al Shoaibi
Director
Walid Al Shoaibi is the Managing Director of Al Shoaibi Group and
his responsibilities include supervision of day-to-day Group activities. He
also represents the Group on several joint venture boards. After internship at
Brown & Root (Houston, Texas) as entry-level engineer on Texas highway
designs from 1984 to 1985,took up position as Cashier's Assistant and later as
Credit Analyst at Houston National Bank between 1985 and 1987. Walid holds a BS
in Civil Engineering from Rice University, Houston and a Master of Business
Administration from University of Houston.

Basim Al Saie
Director
Basim has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry in the Gulf,
and the Middle East. He began his career with Bahrain Aluminum Extrusion
Company (BALEXCO) in Bahrain. Later, he started a Joint Venture company
‘Installux Gulf’, with the French Group Installux in 1997 to cover the markets
of the Gulf and the Middle East. Basim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical
Engineering from Boston University, USA.

Mark Jenkins
Advisor to the Board
Mark is a director of Al Shoaibi group and is responsible for Corporate
Development Activities, Legal Affairs, Mergers, Acquisitions, Joint Ventures
and Private Equity Investments. Prior to joining Al Shoaibi group, Mark was
Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for French listed IT company,
ATOS Origin. He has also held senior management positions with Philips
Electronics NV of the Netherlands and qualified as a chartered accountant with
Pricewaterhouse in the U.K.
Mark holds ACA, and BA Accounting (Hons) from University of Kent.

Veer Passi
Acting Chief Operating Officer and
Chief Financial Offficer
Veer Passi was appointed Chief Financial Officer in June 2009
and w.e.f. 1st July, 2010 has been appointed Acting Chief Operating Officer.
Veer possesses more than 10 years experience in Corporate Finance and Financial
Systems Management in the Telecom Industry. Prior to joining Kalaam Telecom,
Veer served at KPMG as Head of Telecom Advisory & Corporate Finance for the
MENA Region, where he successfully handled large financial projects for UAE’s
Etisalat, the Saudi Telecom Company, MTN South Africa, and Cyprus Telecom in
his 3 year tenure.
Veer’s rich telecom experience base extends beyond the MENA
region to include a cumulative 5 years experience in some of the largest GSM
and CDMA operators in India. During 2001 and 2006, these included Bharti Airtel
Ltd and Reliance Communications Ltd. where he was Head of Business Planning
& Analysis and Revenue Assurance and Head of Finance respectively. He has
been awarded several certifications in areas such as ‘Telecom Activity-based
Costing’ (SAS); ‘Billing Solutions’ (TBMS); ‘Business Intelligence
Solutions’(Hyperion); and “International Financial Reporting Standards”(IFRS)
Veer is a certified Chartered Accountant from Institute of
Chartered Accountants of India (2001) and a certified Cost Accountant from
Institute of Costs and Works (2000). Veer holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree
from Punjab University, India).
