Veer Passi, Chief Executive Officer

Veer Passi is Kalaam Telecom's Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Formerly, Veer was Kalaam's appointed Chief Financial Officer (June 2009) and succeeded to Chief Operating Officer in 1st July, 2010 and subsequently promoted to CEO in January 2011.

Veer possesses more than 10 years experience in Corporate Finance and Financial Systems Management in the Telecom Industry. Prior to joining Kalaam Telecom, Veer served at KPMG as Head of Telecom Advisory & Corporate Finance for the MENA Region, where he successfully handled large financial projects for UAE's Etisalat, the Saudi Telecom Company, MTN South Africa, and Cyprus Telecom in his 3 year tenure.

Veer's rich telecom experience base extends beyond the MENA region to include a cumulative 5 years experience in some of the largest GSM and CDMA operators in India. During 2001 and 2006, these included Bharti Airtel Ltd and Reliance Communications Ltd. where he was Head of Business Planning & Analysis and Revenue Assurance and Head of Finance respectively. He has been awarded several certifications in areas such as 'Telecom Activity-based Costing' (SAS); 'Billing Solutions' (TBMS); 'Business Intelligence Solutions'(Hyperion); and "International Financial Reporting Standards"(IFRS)

Veer is a certified Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (2001) and a certified Cost Accountant from Institute of Costs and Works (2000). Veer holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Punjab University, India.
